Aura is a dedicated and accomplished attorney. Born in the vibrant city of New York and raised amidst the rich cultural tapestry of Caracas, Venezuela, Aura's unique background has fueled her passion for the practice of law with a global perspective.
Her journey in the legal field began at the prestigious Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela, where she earned her law degree. Eager to broaden her horizons, Aura pursued and successfully obtained a Master’s degree in International Law from the University of Miami, followed by another Master’s degree in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston.
During her time at the University of Houston, Aura's commitment to justice and advocacy came to the forefront. As a student attorney at the Immigration Law Clinic, she showcased her legal prowess by securing a favorable outcome for a client in an Immigration Court cancellation of removal case. Her responsibilities extended to handling a variety of immigration cases, including applications for Asylum, VAWA, DACA, T Visa, and U Visa, demonstrating her versatility in the field.
She dedicated approximately five years to serving the community through a reputable non-profit organization in Texas. Here, she passionately assisted detained families and unaccompanied children, making a tangible impact on the lives of those navigating complex legal challenges.
